Setup help and troubleshooting for all Zikporx apps.

Zikporx Cloud

Installation

Run the install script on any Ubuntu server, VPS, or Raspberry Pi. The app guides you through the setup step by step.

HTTPS & TLS

Zikporx Cloud uses a self-signed certificate by default. Trust it on your iPhone in Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings.

Access from outside home

Use a VPN tunnel (Zikporx VPN or WireGuard) or expose your server with a reverse proxy and a real domain to access files remotely.

SMB / WebDAV

Connect from Finder or Files app using the server address shown in the app. SMB3 and WebDAV are both supported.

Common fixes — Zikporx Cloud

  • If the app cannot reach your server, check that the server IP and port are correct and that your firewall allows the connection.
  • Certificate errors on first connection are expected with self-signed TLS — trust the certificate once in iOS Settings.
  • For photo backup, grant the app Full Photo Library access in iOS Settings → Privacy → Photos.

Zikporx AI

iPhone AI

Runs Apple's on-device model on a supported iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled.

Ollama

Connects directly to a model running on your Mac, PC, or private server.

Offline Demo

Explore the interface with built-in sample answers — no model connection needed.

Vision models

Photo questions require an Ollama vision model. Text-only models cannot inspect images.

Connect to Ollama

  • Make sure Ollama is running and the model has been downloaded.
  • Use your computer's local-network address such as http://192.168.1.10:11434 — not localhost.
  • Keep your iPhone and Ollama computer on the same network, then tap "Test connection" in Settings.
  • If iPhone AI is unavailable, confirm Apple Intelligence is enabled and fully downloaded in iOS Settings.

Zikporx VPN

Server setup

Install the Zikporx VPN server on any Ubuntu VPS or home server using the provided script.

Connecting

Add your server details in the app and tap Connect. The app handles key exchange automatically.

Zikporx Agent

Adding a server

Enter your server's IP, SSH port, username, and password or key. Agent connects over SSH — no extra software needed on the server.

Service control

Only systemd services are supported. Run systemctl list-units --type=service on your server to see what's available.
